After the winter transfer window opened on January 1 2023, we round up Chelsea's done deals, plus the players linked with moves in and out of Stamford Bridge.

PSV coach Ruud van Nistelrooy has admitted the club are fighting a losing battle to keep Noni Madueke out of Chelsea's clutches, according to the Sunday Mirror.

The Blues have had an initial bid worth £30m rejected by the Dutch club and Van Nistelrooy has been urging PSV's director of football Marcel Brands to keep the England U21 international in Holland.

But Van Nistelrooy has revealed that he is already looking for a replacement for the 20-year-old winger - and Chelsea will get their man if they can get close to PSV's £40m valuation.

Van Nistelrooy said: "It is now a case of looking for a good replacement. It looks like we could lose another big player this winter transfer window.

"I know that they (Chelsea) want Madueke. I would rather not let him go, but I can't stop big clubs from showing such a massive interest in him."

Chelsea have signed winger Mykhailo Mudryk on an eight-and-a-half year contract from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal worth £88.5m.

Mudryk previously indicated Premier League leaders Arsenal were his preferred destination in a series of social media posts. Arsenal remained in talks as recently as Friday but were prepared to walk away from the transfer if the deal was not right.

Chelsea remain keen on Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach, despite the Bundesliga side remaining convinced the forward will stay at the club in January, according to the Daily Mail.

The Blues contacted Thuram's representatives earlier in the window as they seek reinforcements to Graham Potter's attack.

Thuram is out of contract in the summer and could opt to leave as a free agent, with the 25-year-old attracting interest from a number of European clubs.

However, Gladbach boss Daniel Farke told Gladbach Live: "If we're talking about Marcus now, I don't think there are that many clubs that particularly appeal to him.

"You can never rule out anything in this business but I am very, very sure that he will play a very, very good second half of the season for us."
